The Wisdom behind the Islamic Laws Regarding Women: A treatise presented for the Fourth United Nations World Conference on Women, held in Beijing, China.

Why should an intellectual embrace Islam? We shall try to prove herein that the truth and perfect of the Qur’an, revealed between the years 611 and 632 A.C could not have possible been the work of Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him), the Prophet of Islam (Peace be Upon Him), nor of any human being in history. It could only have been an outside revelation of Muhammad (Peace be Upon Him) from a most knowledgeable super-natural source. The role of the Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) did not exceed that of an honest Messenger, as well as a human model for all mankind. Our approach will be both scientific and historical. We shall repeatedly underline certain verses of the Qur’an that have stated or pointed to some modern scientific facts and concepts, in unequivocally precise terms. Such facts and concepts were beyond the reach of human knowledge at the time of revelation and for centuries thereafter. This establishes beyond doubt that the source of Qur’an is: Superior to mankind, Absolutely Knowledgeable, and Most Truthful.

We like to emphasize that this text is not a substitute for the original Arabic Holy Quran. It is only an attempt to help those who are trying to learn to read the Arabic text, since it is as close to the written text as possible. It is important to practice pronouncing the letters as directed in the transliteration table, especially the underlined letters, before starting to read. It will be helpful if an Arabic speaker can help you or even listening to the Qur’an recitation in the Arabic Language. This work is free for use to everyone as long as no changes that might distort it are done to it. we request from those who benefit from it to pray for us. We pray to Almighty Allah to help you learn to read the Holy Quran, and to do every good thing.

The science of hadeeth terminology and assesment is a particularly difficult field of study. Dr. Bilal Philips has managed in this text to simplify this topic and to make it quite relevant to our times by addressing some of the most challenging questions raised by those who question the validity of hadeeth literature in general.

Allah (SWT) has placed in every human being the natural desire and inclination for gold, silver, money, transportation (cars), land, and other items of this world. The test for a person is how he responds to his desire for these items. If he uses these items to prepare for the hereafter, he will be successful. On the other hand, if he devotes himself to fulfilling his desire for these items and forgets about his purpose in this world, he will be amongst the losers in the hereafter.

Recently, a debate between our religiously committed brothers has erupted on the Internet regarding the permissibility of participating in democratic elections in the West. An article entitled “To Vote or Not to Vote” and another entitled “Why Vote, and Who to Vote For?” in particular have raised several points, which we feel are necessary to address as well as certain others related to Democracy and participation in the electoral process in general. In this short address, we will attempt to offer some clarification on the issue with the hope of refuting some claims and correcting some errors of the authors of these articles as well as addressing some of the more common mistakes related to this topic overall. In approaching the topic of Muslims participating in democratic elections, certain introductory points must be made. It is our intention to be very brief in these points as to avoid dwelling upon them and we only mention them for later reference in discussing the core issue of dispute regarding the permissibility of participating in the democratic elections.

Short Description: Writing a will is a religious obligation on every capable Muslim. It protects against many problems and conflicts that could arise after a person’s death. This obligation is more emphasized in the West: Failing to write a well-founded will may result in the distribution of one’s estate in discord with the Islamic law, and may lead to losses for some of the rightful inheritors.

The Da’wah to Islam by Sheikh Ahmad Mahmoud

This book will refute in detail the claim made by Bush, Blair and others that the Khilafah ruling system is an oppressive, fascist, totalitarian state on par with Nazi Germany.

This book was first released by Hizb ut-Tahrir shortly after the 1997 Asian financial crisis. Although written over 10 years ago the principles detailed in this book are still very relevant today in the current financial crisis.

EXCERPT: In the last week of October 1997, the major stock markets suffered a sharp fall in share prices. It started in Hong Kong, moved to Japan, then to Europe and then on to America. The fall moved in succession, from one country to another at the start of the day in each country. The sharp drop was coupled with a frenzied panic from a possible repeat of October 1987, when the Dow-Jones Index in New York dropped by 22% in one single day, or even worse, a possible repeat of what happened in 1929, when the collapse in the value of shares in America led to a major economic depression, which is referred to by historians as “The Great Depression”. This depression lasted for ten years and resulted in widespread poverty, starvation and misery. This depression did not lift until Franklin Roosevelt decided that America should enter the 2nd World War and revitalise her economy through a huge military armament.
