Before you is a chapter from the great book “Al-Adhkaar” of the great scholar of the seventh century, Abu Zaakariyaa Yahyaa bin Sharaf An-Nawawee. This is a very beneficial chapter entitled “Hifdh-ul-Lisaan” [Guarding the Tongue] The original source, Al-Adhkaar, is one of the prize works of Imaam An-Nawawee in which he compiles and discusses the texts related to what is recommended and forbidden from speech, focusing on adhkaar (words of remembrance) and ad’iyyah (supplications). In the last part of the book, as he explains, Imaam An-Nawawee devotes a chapter to what is forbidden and disliked from speech, such as backbiting, gossiping, and slander, bringing the evidences from the Qur’aan and Sunnah on the obligation of guarding the tongue from evil speech.

In recent times, this great work was verified by Saleem bin ‘Eid Al-Hilaalee and printed in two volumes. For the sake of making this E-Book a source for easy reading and benefit, the verifications of ahaadeeth have been abridged to just the mention of their grade, source references, and a brief discussion on some of them, where necessary.

We advise every sincere Muslim to read and benefit from the words on this very important topic, which many Muslims are neglectful about. And we advise them to reflect sincerely on the evidences so that they can beware of falling into sinful speech.

About the Book: From the moment an individual is conceived in his mother’s womb, until his death and beyond, angels play a part in human life. Angels bring forth the soul of the dying and they bring comfort or inflict torment in the grave. An angel will sound the Trumpet on the Last Day, and angels will be present on the Day of Judgment until they accompany people to their ultimate destination in Paradise or Hell.

At the beginning of the 21st centuary, Britain was engaged in its Fourth Afghan Crusade. No other country has attacked Afghanistan as many times as Britain. In addition Britain has been instrumental in supporting despots and dictatorships in the Muslim World and has contributed to the deaths of half a million Iraqi children. During the age of direct Imperialism, the British Empire enslaved millions of Muslims from Africa, colonised vast swathes of Muslim territory, displaced the Mughal Empire in South Asia; and conspired in the dismemberment of the Ottoman Caliphate to create illegitmate post-Caliphate statelets such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordan, Israel, etc. All of Britain’s mainstream parties support the Zionest state of Israel…

Some Christians are astounded, bewildered, and astonished to hear when we say that Prophet Jesus is mentioned twenty five times in the Qur’an, five times more than Prophet Muhammad. The Qur’an portrays Jesus as God’s mighty messenger and no Muslim’s faith is complete unless he accepts Jesus as a Prophet of God. What is remarkable about the life of Prophet Muhammad is that he came to clear the name of Prophet Jesus that he blasphemed against God by claiming a share in God’s divinity. Prophet Muhammad hallowed Prophet Jesus as the messiah and as a devoted servant of God. It was Prophet Muhammad who brought the good news that Prophet Jesus did not die on the cross as the Qur’an so affirmatively asserts. He cleared the name of Prophet Jesus that he allegedly betrayed his covenant to God as a prophet and divine messenger. He put the life of Prophet Jesus in clear perspective and bore witness that he was but a man commissioned by God to call humanity to God’s way and was given special powers to help him accomplish his mission. Sheikh Deedat use to say: “The Christians out of their love for Prophet Jesus say that he is God or the son of God, and the Muslims out of their love and obedience to God say he is a mighty messenger of God”. Prophet Jesus was a great man and is unsurpassed in many ways, but you don’t elevate a man or a Prophet by making him a God simply out of your love, respect and admiration for him. Who has the good news right? Is Jesus as portrayed in the Qur’an, a devoted servant of God, the truth or what the Church teaches through its doctrine of the trinity, God the father, the son, and the holy ghost? Sheikh Ahmed Deedat presents his evidence and comes to the conclusion that the fathers of the church have the good news badly misconstrued. Please note that Muslims are required to recite the words, peace be upon him, whenever the name of a Prophet of God is mentioned.

Allah has blessed His slaves with certain seasons of goodness, in which hasanat (rewards for good deeds) are multiplied, sayyi’at (bad deeds) are forgiven, people’s status is raised and the hearts of the believers turn to their Lord. Those who purify themselves attain success and those who corrupt themselves fail.

As the status of this act of worship is so high, it is essential to learn the Ahkam (rulings) that have to do with the month of fasting, so that the Muslim will know what is obligatory, in order to do it, what is haram, in order to avoid it, and what is permissible, so that he does not need to subject himself to hardship by depriving himself of it.

This book is a good summary of the rulings, etiquettes, and Sunnah of fasting.

How many times have you heard the phrase, “Would you do that if the prophet was watching?” This book challenges readers to think closely about this phrase, and describes the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from the first page of the book’s first chapter. In fact, the book is a message of love from a mere human being.. to the best of human beings. Written by the best-selling author of Don’t be Sad and You can be the Happiest Woman in the World, Muhammad as if you can see Him is promised to have the same effect on readers as did ‘Aid Al-Qarni’s previous writings.

In this book, the events of the Prophet’s life, from the day he (S) was born and even before that day for background information-until the day he (S) died, have been recorded. Beyond enumerating the events of the Prophet’s life, lessons and morals from those events have been drawn to point out the significance of an event and the wisdom behind the Prophet’s actions or deeds, the Islamic ruling that is derived from a particular incident, and the impact that a given event should have on our character or choice of deeds is indicated.

The best knowledge that deserves to be known is knowing Allah. That is why I present to you, gentle and discerning reader, this humble attempt to try to know Allah, Glory be to Him. The topic of this book is an interesting yet intricate matter; discussing it is complex and not easy. But if I do delve in this subject, then I must ask Allah for His Aid and beg for His Forgiveness for any faults or mistakes I may possibly make; only Allah, Glory be to Him, has the perfect Ability to describe the true essence of the Exalted Self.

The whole of mankind—-Muslims as well as non-Muslims, and the peoples of the East as well as the West—-are today beset with a grave evil: their lives are governed by a culture that was born in crassmaterialism and as now totally steeped in it. The practical policies as well as the theory of this cultureare based on perverse and unstable foundations. Its philosophy and science, its ethical values and social system, its law and politics, in short every feature of this culture, made a wrong direction. And ithas now reached a critical stage of decline which is not very far from collapse and total ruin.
