Extract from book, ‘ There is no doubt that the prophet-hood of our prophet Muhammad (saw) is one of two important tasks that the Muslim is carrying to humanity. Muslims believe that to prove the prophet-hood of Muhammad (saw) is one of many essential tasks in their religion; therefore, it is a compulsory duty for Muslims to present this evidence and proof.

The inimitable Ahmed Deedat here poses the question, “What is the name of God?” Using christian, jewish and Islamic sources, he strives to answer the question.

The book is called Beyond Mere Christianity for two reasons. First, in response to C.S. Lewis’ influential 1952 work, Mere Christianity, which stands as a masterpiece of Christian apologetics. The second reason, perhaps less obvious, is that a case can be made, based on current, responsible Gospel scholarship, that Jesus was calling his people to the Salvation that lies beyond the worship of the merely created, the Salvation that relies instead on the direct worship of the Creator. I believe emphatically that the authentic words of Jesus invite us to move beyond what is conventionally understood as Christianity for this Salvation.

In his book, Good Argumentation with the Doubters of Islam from the Qur’an, the Torah, the Gospels and Science, Sheikh `Abdul-Majid Subh replied to the question “Your Book, the Qur’an, contains several contradictions; it is incoherent, and it comprises numerous repetitions.

Ever since the dawn of human life on this planet, Man has always sought to understand Nature, his own place in the scheme of Creation and the purpose of Life itself. In this quest for Truth, spanning many centuries and diverse civilizations, organized religion has shaped human life and determined to a large extent, the course of history. While some religions have been based on books, claimed by their adherents to be divinely inspired, others have relied solely on human experience and proof.

Excerpt from the book:

I posed the question: “What does the Bible say about Muhammed?” Without hesitation he answered, “Nothing!” I asked: “Why nothing? According to your interpretation the Bible have so many things to say about the rise of Soviet Russia and about the Last Days and even about the Pope of the Roman Ca Catholics?” He said, “Yes, but there was nothing about Muhummed!” I asked again, “Why nothing? Surely this man Muhummed who had been responsible for the bringing into being a world-wide community of millions of Believers who, on his authority, believe in: (1) the miraculous birth of Jesus, (2) that Jesus is the Messiah,(note 6) (3) that he gave life to the dead by God’s permission, and that he healed those born blind and the lepers by God’s permission.

Some Christians are astounded, bewildered, and astonished to hear when we say that Prophet Jesus is mentioned twenty five times in the Qur’an, five times more than Prophet Muhammad. The Qur’an portrays Jesus as God’s mighty messenger and no Muslim’s faith is complete unless he accepts Jesus as a Prophet of God. What is remarkable about the life of Prophet Muhammad is that he came to clear the name of Prophet Jesus that he blasphemed against God by claiming a share in God’s divinity. Prophet Muhammad hallowed Prophet Jesus as the messiah and as a devoted servant of God. It was Prophet Muhammad who brought the good news that Prophet Jesus did not die on the cross as the Qur’an so affirmatively asserts. He cleared the name of Prophet Jesus that he allegedly betrayed his covenant to God as a prophet and divine messenger. He put the life of Prophet Jesus in clear perspective and bore witness that he was but a man commissioned by God to call humanity to God’s way and was given special powers to help him accomplish his mission. Sheikh Deedat use to say: “The Christians out of their love for Prophet Jesus say that he is God or the son of God, and the Muslims out of their love and obedience to God say he is a mighty messenger of God”. Prophet Jesus was a great man and is unsurpassed in many ways, but you don’t elevate a man or a Prophet by making him a God simply out of your love, respect and admiration for him. Who has the good news right? Is Jesus as portrayed in the Qur’an, a devoted servant of God, the truth or what the Church teaches through its doctrine of the trinity, God the father, the son, and the holy ghost? Sheikh Ahmed Deedat presents his evidence and comes to the conclusion that the fathers of the church have the good news badly misconstrued. Please note that Muslims are required to recite the words, peace be upon him, whenever the name of a Prophet of God is mentioned.

This book was originally a section of Ibn Al-Qayyim’s book Miftaahu Daar is-Sa’aadah (Key to the Abode of Happiness). This section was extracted from it due to its discussion of some of the Signs of Allah in the human beings and the universe. Also, Ibn Al-Qayyim’s book was chosen due to its perceptive and meaningful wisdom. Another outstanding characteristic of this book is that Ibn-Al-Qayyim calls for the use of the intellect and self-introspection. He encourages the reader to deeply think about the creation of Allah, the Most High — in the human being, existence, animals and nature. The complier, Capt. Anas Abdul-Hameed Al-Qoz, supports the writing of Ibn Al-Qayyim (Qayyem/Qayim/Qayem/Qayum/Qayyum) by mentioning modern scientific discoveries, useful notes and beneficial pictures that help achieve the objective. Thus, this book is a continuous and active call to all of mankind to look and reflect upon the Signs of Allah if they want the truth and sincerely wish to follow it.We will show them Our Signs in the universe and in themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.

Did Jesus actually die? and was he then resurrected. Or was his life merely a resuscitation from a trance? This small booklet deals with another important element from the book Crucifixion or Cruci-Fiction. This book attempts to ascertain whether Jesus really did die according to the scriptures?
